How it works

Four steps, mostly waiting

01
Unlock at your current registrar
Log into your current registrar's dashboard and turn off the domain lock. This lets the transfer request through.
02
Get the EPP (auth) code
Request the authorisation code — usually a one-click action. It'll be emailed to your registered address.
03
Paste it on our form
Start the transfer here, paste your EPP code, and we'll take it from there. No credit card until it completes.
04
Approve via email
Confirm the transfer from your registrant email. Most domains land in your account within 5–7 days.

Transfer FAQ

How long does a domain transfer take?

Most transfers complete in 5–7 days after you approve the confirmation email. Some registries are faster (usually .com/.net). Country TLDs like .bd can take 7–14 days.

Will my website or email go down during transfer?

No. Your DNS keeps pointing at the same servers throughout — nothing changes until you decide to update it. There's zero downtime for websites or email.

Can I transfer a recently registered domain?

You need to wait 60 days after registering a domain (or after a previous transfer) before ICANN allows another transfer. This is a registry rule, not ours.

What if my domain is expired?

Expired domains can usually still be transferred, but only during a grace period. Contact us with the domain and we'll check eligibility.

Which TLDs can I transfer to Orcus?

All major gTLDs (.com, .net, .org, .io, .dev, .co, .xyz…) and .bd family (.bd, .com.bd, .net.bd, .org.bd). If you're not sure, just try — we'll tell you.

Do you charge a transfer fee?

For most TLDs the transfer includes a 1-year renewal at our regular price — so you're paying for the extra year, not a separate transfer fee. Some ccTLDs may have registry-specific fees; we surface those before you pay.
